Titans U16 boys make waves at beginning of the 2017/18 Season with 2 landslide wins.

Our extremely talented young men have kicked off the 2017/18 season phenomenally with two landslide wins!

U16 Boys: Greenwich Titans v Kingston Wildcats

With guidance from Coach Ashley, the boys were able to secure a 78 v 37 victory in their first game of the season against Kingston Wildcats. Titans gained the advantage and maintained momentum from the get go, closing the first quarter with 24 points to 7 points. However, the boys were only able to muster up 13 points in the second quarter and needed to get their heads back in the game, so used the time out to get shots up and regain confidence. They were able to dominate the 2nd quarter 29 points to 7 points which lead to the Titans U16s first win of the season.

U16 Boys: Greenwich Titans v London Thunder Lewisham II

A marvelous performance from the squad, with a 104 v 52 victory!

With 11 players (two of which; Micheal and Kristan, were plucked from the U14 squad at the last minute due to lack of players), Titans displayed an excellent delivery of basketball against London Thunder Lewisham II. A truly proud moment for the boys and Coach Ashley. Top scorer for Titans was Samuel who fearlessly swept to the basket time and time again to deliver a smashing 28 points, one of which was a silencing slam dunk! Samuel was quickly followed by new comer Eni who was a force to be reckoned with an impressive 23 points at his first game with Titans. Never to be over looked was Titans longest standing player and U16 captain Tobi who served up a brilliant 20 points.

The boys would not have been able to deliver such high scores had it not been for the intelligent passing by Koray, Ossain and Jeremiah as well as the fantastic defense displayed by the other members of the team, especially Connor who put in a mighty effort despite battling a cold. Great posting, rebounding and assists from Daniel who contributed 12 points and Ryan who contributed 11 points.

Extremely well done to our U16 boys!
